Most common SEO Development Mistakes

Using the same meta tags

Each page on your site should contain unique meta data that is relevant to that page specifically. Properly doing this can take a lot of time and should be done by someone that understands meta data placement.

Improper URL structuring

Even if you need a dynamic website having dynamic URLs does no good for SEO. Having your URL’s easily readable by the search engines can make a huge difference in the amount of traffic that your site gets. When a search engine can see what is on a page and then the content matches the title they know clearly what is on the page. Clearly showing the search engines what’s on a page makes them confident in displaying the pages higher up.

Taking Content from another site

The search engines know when you content is original and when it is not. It is amazing to see when someone has tried to take content from another site and change it how the search engine can still tell if you have taken it from another site. For your site to really be perceived as original and relevant you need ORIGINAL CONTENT. The best thing to do is to create the content yourself. However, if you do not have the time to do that you can hire someone to build the content for you. Or a professional to re-write content (change it by over approximately 80%) to ensure you are not infringing on anyone’s copy written material.
